                                                            Physics
1.        Define:
(i)   Displacement
(ii)  Velocity
(iii) Acceleration
(iv) Scalar & Vector Quantities
(v) Uniform & Non-uniform speed
2.        S I Units of (i) Speed (ii) Velocity (iii) Retardation (iv) time
3.        Differentiate distance and displacement ( give at least 3 differences)
4.        Derive equation of II law of motion
5.        A farmer moves along the boundary of a square field of side 10 m in 40 s. What will be the magnitude of displacement of the farmer at the end of 2 minutes 20 seconds?
6.        A train starting from rest attains a velocity of 72 km /h in 5 minutes. Assuming that the acceleration is uniform, find (i) the acceleration and (ii) the distance travelled by the train for attaining this velocity.
7.        An athlete completes one round of a circular track of diameter 200 m in 40 s. What will be the distance covered and the displacement at the end of 2 minutes 10 s?
                                                                                Chemistry

8.        Define : (i) Latent heat of vaporization  (ii) latent heat of fusion.
9.        When we pour some acetone or petrol on the palm, we get a cooling sensation . Give reason?
10.     Why does steam produce more severe burns on the skin as compared to boiling water ?
11.     Give reasons for the following observation:
The smell of hot sizzling food reaches we  several  meters  away, but to get the smell from cold food we have to go closer.
12.     Give reasons
                (a) A gas fills completely the vessel in which it is kept in.
                (b) A gas exerts pressure on the walls of the container.
                (c) A wooden table should be called a solid.
                (d) We can easily move our hand in air but can‘t through a solid block of wood
